I've been successfully talked out of trying to read the bible. I did get some great reading suggestions from fellow atheist Vic.

The Incredible Shrinking Son of Man by Robert M. Price
I'm currently about 1/3 of the way through Losing Faith in Faith by Dan Barker, who coincindentally I just saw debate with Jon Kaus at Gustavus. It was titled "Can We be Good Without God." Dan blew poor Jon out of the water. It was a bit disheartening seeing all the christians in the audience not really listening to Dan. Also, the people behind us were joking about looking for godless women. Crystal and I were laughing about them assuming we're all loose!
